Come September.

No, I am not referring to the hugely popular Rock Hudson movie nor the legendary tune of the ’70s/’80s that was a staple Vinyl record in all the Indian ceremonies and weddings.

Why is September an important month for a Sales leader and his team?

The OND’21 quarter has the maximum number of holidays in India and also across the world.

Given that relaity, the next 30 days of planning and executing would be crucial for your success ahead and how you finish by the end of the year.

Agree?

Block time with your team to look ahead & plan for the OND’21 quarter.

“It’s always difficult to find a balance between doing all the work to close the quarter while at the same time keeping an eye on building for the future.”

BRIAN MILLHAM | PRESIDENT, SALESFORCE

As a leader of the team, you are now thinking: “We’ve got to hit the September numbers. My team has to blow the quarter numbers. We need to make our company hugely successful.”

But equally important is to plan for the second half of the year.

So, Can we find the time, now, to get our team together and ask:

  • What does October’s number look like?
  • Do we have enough top-of-the-funnel leads to meet our 2H goals?
  • What are the marketing activities planned for the OND’21 quarter?
  • What are partner activities on the anvil to get the leverage?

What other questions should we be asking?

Balancing the execution priorities for the current quarter and planning the roadmap ahead is the hard part of living in the sales world, but it’s also equally exciting.

Wishing you all the very best for a great quarter close.
